Working with founders that leverage disruptive technologies to take on complex, fundamental problems is one of the top reasons I love working with my team at Cisco.
I’m passionate about pragmatic optimism. It sounds cliché, but I see obstacles as opportunities to learn and grow. Life only really begins once you leave your comfort zone.
I am fortunate to live by the beach. My life outside Cisco revolves around spending time in motion, whether running, cycling, surfing, or sailing. Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few lead to sandy shores and saltwater.
I’m a big believer in the NOW mentality. In VC, when founders have an idea, it’s critical to quickly test it in the real world, get feedback, and iterate so that more and more customers love it.
Where I’ve Been
I was born in Israel and moved to Louisville, Kentucky with my family as a child. I spent high school and college in New York City, and worked as an investment banker on Wall Street before relocating back to Israel. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get the best of both worlds – great weather and entpreneurial spirit. Before joining Cisco Investments, I spent five years driving growth-stage venture investments in startups across various verticals including cloud, cyber, and big data & AI.
Where I Learned
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in Financial Economics with a Concentration in Biomedical Engineering. During my time at Columbia, I also enjoyed screenwriting and producing films.
