Cisco Partner Summit is Cisco’s premier partner event and the 2016 edition just concluded in San Diego on March 3. The visibility of companies in the Cisco Investments Portfolio continues to increase each year at this event. This year, nine portfolio companies participated including CliQr, Intersec, LiveAction, N3N, Platfora, Phunware, Puppet Labs and RiverMeadow. Cisco Partner Summit is by invitation only and offers opportunities for executive networking, strategy discussions, technology updates, and business leadership development. For Cisco Investments Portfolio companies, such an event enables them to connect directly with Cisco Channel Partners and to take advantage of the broad array of Go-To-Market programs that Cisco Investments makes available to its portfolio companies.
Highlighting the event for Cisco Investments was Phunware’s Director of Business Development, Greg Mand, who gave a Shark Tank-style presentation in which he described Phunware’s cloud-based platform and various market-ready solutions across verticals using healthcare as an example. He explained how Phunware’s Location Solution resolved a problem at a major hospital where patients were missing appointments because they were getting lost in the building.
